I received a package from Tabutoys.
I was excited. I love toys, I love weighing their good points and bad and was eager to try something for my first official review, courtesy of this company.
I have ordered adult toys from them before, and as usual, their package was innocuous.
I was happy to open the box and find such a special little package. Nookii Ooh La
La Rabbit Vibrator. The toy came wrapped in a cylindrical tube with little round cards and a blindfold.
They were kind enough to enclose a small bottle of lube and 4 aa batteries. Although, I have to say, it would be more useful if the toy actually took 4 aa batteries. It takes a 9V so my excitement was put on hold as I didn’t have any of those around the house. Then I kept forgetting to pick them up.
A handful of days later I found myself alone, with the proper batteries in place and thought I’d take it for a trial run. I had played with the controls when I bought the batteries. My boyfriend and I laughed, because it seemed loud and rather large, but I was unprepared for both these issues coming in to play. I don’t mind noise. I am not trying to keep silent or discreet, but if that is an issue, then certainly some of the settings on this Nookii vibe will not be your friend.
I am a fan of texture. Some of my favorite dildos and vibrators have had quite a lot of it going on, but this was all too much. The nubs seemed to irritate rather than please. I thought it was a lubrication issue, but a second time at it, with my boyfriend’s help reassured me that this wasn’t the case.
The rabbit ears were long. This is a problem I’ve run into before, I suppose maybe the distance between my parts is less than average. Maybe I am built funny, but it wasn’t working for me. I wasn’t keen on the settings either, it was entirely too easy to switch or turn them off accidentally.
I was very pleased with the materials. Ever since I became a cancer survivor, I am careful and cautious of many adult products and admire a company that seems so committed to keeping their products safe from phthalates.
Overall, it was just not for me. I gave it a second chance in the hands of my lover, but even then, I just didn’t get into this toy. It was not terribly unpleasant, just something I not would find myself using again.
Thank you TabuToys for the opportunity to review the Nookii vibe.

Did the AA’s come from Tabu or from the toy company? Either way that’s strange that it takes a 9V. I’ve never had a toy take a 9V! How bizarre. Great review. =)

The aa’s came from Tabu – which was appreciated, even if they weren’t the correct size for the toy.

I appreciate reading this thoughtful, critical review, especially when you explain why it didn’t work for you. I also review for TabuToys — with a senior/elder perspective — and they’re a great company. As you demonstrated, they welcome completely honest reviews.
Now that I’ve discovered your blog, I’ll read more!
